The OTCX team was back at FILS Europe this year, joining clients, partners and the wider fixed income community for a busy few days on and off the conference floor in Antibes.
As Principal Sponsor, we had plenty happening across FILS, including the Workflow Automation roundtable at Buy-Side Trading Day, conversations throughout the main event at the OTCX stand and our own FILS on the Beach at Plage La Jetée.
Starting the week at Buy-Side Trading Day
We kicked things off at Buy-Side Trading Day, joining the Workflow Automation roundtable, exploring the digitisation of high-touch derivatives trading and the changing role of technology across OTC price discovery and execution.
It is a conversation that feels particularly relevant today. As more of the trading process becomes electronic, the challenge isn't simply digitising another step. It is connecting workflows that can still span different systems, channels and counterparties.
That perspective carried through many of our conversations in Antibes. Discussions with market participants touched on liquidity access, workflow efficiency and connectivity, and the practical complexity that remains around institutional trading workflows.
The conversations continued at Plage La Jetée for OTCX FILS on the Beach.
With the Côte d’Azur as the backdrop, we brought clients, partners and peers from across the industry together for drinks and a chance to catch up away from the conference floor.
A big thank you to everyone who joined us. Watching the sunset on the beach, surrounded by familiar faces from across FILS, was a real highlight of the week.
On the ground at FILS
Back at the main event, the OTCX stand was our base for the week and a busy meeting point throughout FILS. It was great to catch up with clients and partners already working with OTCX, while also introducing the platform to new faces and hearing first-hand about the priorities and challenges across different trading desks.
And away from the meetings and market conversations, it was great to see a little bit of OTCX making its way around Antibes too. A small detail, but definitely one of our favourite sights from the week.
Looking back on Antibes
Between the roundtable, meetings, conversations at the stand and an evening on the beach, FILS Europe was a busy one for OTCX.
More importantly, it gave us plenty of time with the people we work with, and plenty of conversations to continue long after leaving Antibes.
